About Us

We are real people, living real lives, serving a real God and experiencing real change

Why do we exist

We are committed to helping you find, follow and fulfil your purpose in God through a real relationship with Jesus

To Love God

We love Him because He first loved us(1 John 4:19)

We believe that there is nothing greater in this life than God.

We have all experienced the transformative power of God in our lives. As a result we have come to know the love of God & love him in return.

To Love People

‘Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.’ (1 John 4:11)

We want to share Jesus with everyone. Jesus is too good to keep to ourselves.

We believe that good news should be shared. The message of the gospel is that Jesus brings life, hope and salvation to all. We want everyone to know Him.

To Love Life

I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.(John 10:10)

The greatest way to live is in relationship with the one who made you and created you for a purpose.

When you come to know Jesus you come alive, experiencing purpose and life in its fullest form.

Our Vision

The vision of the Potter’s House Aylesbury is to fulfil Jesus’ Great Commission in Mark 16:15

Reaching the Lost

He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” Matthew 9:37-38

We believe that the work of reaching the world with the gospel is far from complete and our job as believers, and as the local church is to pray, train, invest, send and support workers to go into all the world!

Raising Disciples

Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

We exist to help people build a deeper relationship with God and become more like Jesus.

Releasing Ministries

And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” Mark 16:15

We are actively involved in reaching out to people who are yet to have a relationship with Jesus through various forms of Evangelism – taking the Gospel outside of the “four walls” & seeing lives changed one by one.

What We Believe

The Bible is true, complete and essential

The Bible containing the Old and New Testaments is alone the only infallible, inspired Word of God, and its authority is ultimate, final, and eternal. It cannot be added to, subtracted from, or superseded in any regard. The Bible is the source of all doctrine, instruction, correction, and reproof. It contains all that is needed for guidance in godliness and practical Christian conduct.

Salvation is a free gift from God

Salvation is a free gift of God, based on the merits of the death of His Son, and is appropriated by faith. Salvation is effected by personal repentance, belief in the Lord Jesus (justification), and personal acceptance of Him into one’s life as Lord and Saviour (regeneration).

Jesus is God and man, in one Person

Jesus Christ is eternally God. He was together with the Father and the Holy Spirit from the beginning, and through Him all things were made. He left heaven and became incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary; henceforth, He is forever one Christ with two natures, God and Man, in one Person

God Called man back to himself through Christ

God the Father is the Creator of the universe. He created man in His own image for fellowship, and called man back to Himself through Christ after the rebellion and fall of man.

Jesus died for the sins of the world

Christ’s vicarious death on the cross paid the penalty for the sins of the whole world. Its benefits of healing (body, soul, and spirit) are provided for in the atonement as well.

Baptism is the outward sign of what God has already done

In the ordinances of Baptism and The Lord’s Supper. Baptism is the outward sign of what God has already done in the individual’s life, and is a public testimony that the person now belongs to Christ. In it the new believer identifies with the death and resurrection of Jesus. Baptisms are performed in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Lord’s Supper is a commemoration of the death of the Lord and is done in remembrance of Him until He comes again. It is a sign of our participation in Him.

We believe in the second coming of Jesus

In the bodily, personal, second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the saints, the millennium, and the final judgment. The final judgment will determine the eternal status of both the saints and the unbelievers, determined by their relationship to Jesus Christ

The Christian life is one of consecration

The Christian life is to be one of consecration, devotion, and holiness. The shortcomings of the individual are due to the still-progressing sanctification of the saints. The Christian life is filled with trials, tests, and warfare against a spiritual enemy. For those abiding in Christ until their deaths or His return, the promises of eternal blessing in the presence of God are assured

Baptism in the Holy Spirit

The baptism in the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues, subsequent to conversion, releases the fullness of the Spirit and is evidenced by the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit.

The church is the body of Christ

The Church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God among the saints through the Spirit. Every believer born of the Spirit has a place in the church designated by God; a place where Christ is working in the lives of the called-out ones and calling ministers to the Great Commission, to go into all the world and make disciples of every nation.

The Holy Spirit is God and Empowers

The Holy Spirit is God, the Lord and Giver of life, who was active in the Old Testament, and given to the Church in fullness at Pentecost. He empowers the saints for service and witness, cleanses man from the old nature, and conforms us to the image of Christ.
